SANDON

Ridding Sandon of Chinese

At the time of this article, Sandon was a small mining community in which Chinese workers were not welcomed by the majority of the population. It is unclear exactly what method the miners had used to rid their camp of Chinese workers, but it seems that they had treated the Chinese in an illegal manner.

It is quite evident that the miners of Sandon do not want John Chinaman, but the method of getting rid of the despised Celestial, while it possesses the merit of being most effective, may conflict with the laws of the land.
