This little town is a special site because its history is real!  In the 1890s, Fort Steele was a thriving place, alive with close to 5,000 people at its peak.  They made their homes here, worked hard for their living, and had hopes and dreams for the future.  Through invention, ingenuity, entrepreneurship, and pure stubbornness, the people of Fort Steele carved out a place in history.  These pages capture some of the unique history of this place.
