The Fort Steele Steam Railway is an operating museum that interprets the experience of branch line rail travel to the lodging, mining and ranching communities of the East Kootenay. In addition to riding on the train, visitors are invited to look at the historic railway equipment and stationary steam engines displayed outside the engine house.
