Site Open 10am - 3pm Wednesdays - Sundays

CLOSED Mondays & Tuesdays

While our shops & trades will be closed for the autumn season, you can still wander through buildings and take in the sights at a reduced admission. Our Café and Gift Shop remain open from Wednesdays through Sundays 10am - 3pm.

What will i be able to do

A visit to the site will include a walk through town site. There are plenty of animals to visit, and a few that really miss and love the public attention! The Museum in the Wasa hotel is open year round, as well as the Visitor Reception Center featuring the Gift shop and Cafe. The train will be running as of July 1st for the summer season. From Wednesdays to Sundays, you can expect Gossip Tours and Street Scenes (unless otherwise noted).

train schedule:

There is one last day of train rides for the 2022 Season! Join us at the Kootenay Country Fair Sunday, September 11th! 

Please note that train rides are not included in admission. 

The train can also be booked for private events and weddings! Please contact for inquiries. 

*Train tickets are not included with the price of admission. You may ride the train without entering the park if you would only like to experience the train.

Youth (6-17): $7

Seniors (65+): $7

5 & under: FREE

Family Pass (2 adults & 2 youth): $30

We get many people who want to come after hours, we do request that you come back during visiting hours.  


Season's passes for the upcoming year are available at the Visitor Reception Center.

Regular Season's Pass benefits include:

• Unlimited regular General Admission for an entire year. (excluding special events)

• 50% off Admission for accompanying friends and family.

•15% off retail products and food services (excluding alcohol).

• Special Pricing for Select Special Events


Gold Seasons Pass benefits include all of the above as well as:

• Unlimited regular Wagon Rides, and Steam Train Rides

• 50% off “Steele of a Deal” Admission for accompanying friends and family.


Add up all the benefits, weigh the experience, enjoyment and knowledge gained over a year and you’d have to agree, a seasons pass represents great value. Obtaining a Seasons Pass is easy. Fill out the registration form and drop it off at the Visitor Reception Desk or mail it in with your payment. You can also purchase a Seasons Pass over the phone with a credit card.
