Fort Steele Heritage Town will be closed to the public during the month of April.  The site continues necessary repairs to the Visitor Reception Centre (succumbed to fire in June 2023) and to many of the heritage buildings. They are over 100 years old!

Seasonal staff recruitment is ramping up in April.  Watch the web site, Facebook and other job employment sites for seasonal and other job opportunities in a wide variety of positions -  youth, students, adults, retirees - a wide range of ages to reflect a heritage town.  New and returning seasonal staff will be undergoing orientation and training and practicing their interpretive, gossip tour, and street scene skills on site in April and May.   Final heritage display and interpretive touches will be completed as well, all to ensure a great visitor heritage education experience.

Educational Heritage Interpretive School Programs Return in May and June 2024

Fort Steele Heritage Town, in May and June 2024, will once again be host to over 30 school groups for the always popular heritage education interpretive programs delivered by creative and enthusiastic interpretive staff.

We look forward to welcoming you this 2024 season.   It's "Back to 1898!"
