FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We’re Here to Help

IS FORT STEELE HERITAGE TOWN WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?

While it isn't the smoothest ride you'll ever have, all boardwalks have wheel chair ramps and some buildings are accessible.

HOW MUCH TIME SHOULD I PLAN ON SPENDING FOR A VISIT TO FORT STEELE HERITAGE TOWN?

Some visitors come back a second day if they are making sure to explore each building and aspect the site has to offer, while others just come out for a quick walk around the site! On hot days, remember your hat and water, and on the cool, or rainy days, don't forget the umbrella and jacket!

IS FORT STEELE HERITAGE TOWN SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN?

Absolutely! So many regulars are thrilled to have a safe space for their children to run around and explore! With so many types of animals on site who love attention, it is an excellent place to visit with your kids!

Are pets allowed in?

We love the furry children too! Pets are allowed on site on leash and under your control at all times and you are cleaning up after them.

Please note that animals are not welcome during some special events, and are not to be brought into food service areas or the museum.

Why do I have to pay to walk around?

While it seems like a silly thing to do, we put a lot of man power into opening the site and maintaining the site for visitors. Your admission goes towards a vast variety of expenses that ensure we can open the doors!
